INTRODUCTION

It is a process which involves sharing of information, opinion, ideas, and beliefs between two or more persons through a continuous activity of speaking, listening and understanding. The word ‘communication’ comes from the Latin word commūnicāre, meaning ‘to share’.

ELEMENTS OF COMMUNICATION

The various elements of communication are as follows.

  • Sender: The person who initiate the communication and compose the message.
  • Message: The information composed by sender that he wants to convey.
  • Channel: This is the mean by which the information is sent.
  • Receiver: The person who receives the message sent by sender.
  • Feedback: The receiver's acknowledgement or response on the message sent by sender.
